63 days. Exactly 9 weeks until our lease ends in Denver and it’s time to get underway.
There’s a lot to be done. Not time to start panicking, but maybe time to start getting serious. There are some big things yet to be accomplished.
Getting rid of things
- Dog. Sending to Arizona.
Despite some initial resistance, I’ve decided to go ahead and put some things into storage. If I assume this vagabond lifestyle is going to end in a few years, then there are things that I’d need to repurchase when it’s time to settle down again. A few years of storage costs – a few thousand dollars – will still be less than having to purchase again.
That said, I’m purging a lot of things. I cut my possessions in half, more or less, in my last move. And the move before that, and the move before that. What used to be an overflowing garage and basement full of seldom-used tools and

Arranging new things
- Health insurance
- PO Box
Do you like how I just tossed that last one in there, like it was no big deal? Ha! That should probably get its own section, but… yeah, that needs to be arranged, for sure.
